Malaysia’s telco-media unveils digital lifestyle platform

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 -- The latest data plan product in the telecommunications industry, branded as “LIFE”, was launched yesterday, which provides value-for-money digital platform offering non-stop entertainment experience.

Developed by MBits Digital Sdn Bhd (MBits), the digital platforms within LIFE provide services from streaming, gaming and dining to shopping.

MBits founder and chief executive officer Saraleana Nattaya Azmi said LIFE is the first digital lifestyle platform in Malaysia’s telecommunications industry which offers users a digital registration that enables them  to select their own mobile number, preferred data plan, SIM card delivery, and even payment transactions.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaysia has sped up the development of the digital industry, moving Malaysia towards a more digital lifestyle economy. LIFE gives users a hassle-free experience and convenience without having to leave their own homes.

“LIFE is also a value-for-money service wherein it provides users a bundled package cost to access non-stop entertainment services offered by partnered digital platforms within the LIFE platform itself at no hidden or extra charges. “LIFE enables access to various digital platforms which are affordable for all Malaysians,” she said at the launch of the digital platform here, yesterday.

Saraleana Nattaya said as the youngest player in the industry, MBits preferred to be known as a Telco-Media, adding that LIFE represents a multi-culture, multi-language and multi-platform offering to encourage more ‘glocal’ digitalisation of Malaysia by creating a platform for Malaysians to get to know more digital lifestyle platforms made by Malaysians for Malaysians.

She said LIFE users are given free access to every platform such as streaming content, gaming as well as discount vouchers for dining and shopping nationwide. More details are available at
